Topic: The Vermont American Civil Liberties Union – as well as disabilities rights groups, including Green Mountain Self-Advocates – lobbied lawmakers this year to make sure Tasers are not over-used and that police understand how to deal with people who have mental illnesses or other types of disabilities. On Monday, we’ll be talking with Rhonda Taylor, Robert Appel, and Allen Gilbert about the court case that is happening, as well as policy developments. We’ll also have a quick check in with GMSA about their Ally of the Year Award winner.
