Common Good Vermont: Vermont Nonprofit Legislative Day 2014-Speaking the Language of the Legislature-Panel Discussion

At Vermont Nonprofit Legislative Day 2014, nonprofits from across the state showed their strength and discussed pressing issues. The day began with a Welcome from House Speaker Shap Smith, followed by a panel of luminaries, providing an overview of legislative issues facing the sector, how nonprofits can effectively communicate their impact, advocate for their issues and discuss the emerging role of Results-Based Accountability in legislative decisions.

Panelists include: Susan Bartlett, Special Projects Director for the VT Agency of Human Services, Paul Cillo, Executive Director of Public Assets Institute, Chris Curtis, lawyer and advocate for Vermont Legal Aid, Ellen Kahler, Executive Director of Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund, Amy Shollenberger, Political Strategist and Principal of Action Circles, and Senator Diane Snelling, Chittenden County.
